nied’s famous fish sandwich

Nied’s Hotel is a Pittsburgh institution. The building and restaurant have been in the Nied family for over 70 years. I took the suggestion of the giant neon sign and ordered the fish sandwich.

For a little over 6 bucks you get a gigantic piece of lightly fried cod on a hoagie roll. The sandwich is worth every penny and Nied’s status as an institution is well-deserved. Les, who is allergic to fish, needs to get over that pronto and head to Nied’s.
